Biowhat you'll find here If I were to condense my entire self into a few choice words, I'd say that I am a bisexual, liberal, feminist, geeky, music obsessive, INFP, Anglo-Catholic, vegan, tattooed, pierced, bespectacled, Gen X writer and theologian who has enough optimism to fill a thimble. Okay. Maybe a shot glass. Sometimes I talk about real life. Most of the time I flail about fandom or music. (I'm eclectic, but I drift towards indie and alt-country and I will flail at great length quite frequently about Rhett Miller and the Old 97's.) Fandomwise, I'm a slasher, though I dip my toes into femmeslash and het from time to time. I'm a Machead who drank Apple's Kool-Aid as a child back in 1984. I'm a knitter. I'm an Anglophile. I love art and art history. I have a bachelor's in journalism and a master's in literature. I'm currently back in grad school pursuing a degree in theology. Every once in a while I delve into what it means to be queer and religious. I have a terrible tendency to swear like a sailor at times and I strongly believe that the word fuck can be used as noun, verb, adjective and even adverb, if you get really creative. I also really like boys to kiss each other while still, you know, being boys. I live in Boston. I grew up down South. I'm politically liberal but I come from a very conservative family so I try not to indulge in conservative-bashing but I will mock Glenn Beck. I am utterly and completely fascinated by British politics and spend too much time watching Parliament video. My cat owns me. I am a complete and total Draco Malfoy apologist. I sort Slytherin every single time, in every single test. I love typography. I will read anything that Neil Gaiman writes. Cricket is my drug of choice: I support England in international cricket and Middlesex CC in county. I'm also a Tottenham Hotspur fan, so COYS. |
my fandoms My primary fandom is Harry Potter. This is my home, and the one in which I play the most. I am an unabashed fangirl of the HBP movie, mainly for the scene in which Snape throws Draco up against the wall and has his wicked way with him. (WHAT? It was so there.) I ship Snape/Draco and Harry/Draco hardcore, though I'm also terribly fond of Harry/Viktor, Albus Severus/Viktor, Snape/Narcissa, Snape/Pansy, Pansy/Harry, Pansy/Blaise and Millicent with pretty damn much anyone. My most recent non-HP fannish obsessions appears to be the entire England cricket team, though Steve Finn and Stuart Broad are my favorites. Other fandoms whose perimeters I dabble around at the moment include Glee and Dr Who, although I mostly just lurk. Be forewarned, though, I'm a staunch noromo when it comes to Doctor Who. my favourite characters Give me your poor, your tired, your cranky misanthropic bastards and your idealistic tormented woobies. :D In other words, some of my favourite people to read and write about are Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter, Severus Snape, Millicent Bulstrode, Pansy Parkinson, Viktor Krum, Blaise Zabini, Narcissa Malfoy, and Eileen Prince. In the past I also have been known to write RPF about the boys from Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and The Used. Real life people you will see me crush on include Keira Knightley, Rachel Maddow, Steve Finn, Adrien Brody and Rhett Miller. I'm also ridiculously fond of Tom Felton thanks to his Twittering, and I'm currently developing what the Real World might consider an Unhealthy Obsession with Stuart Broad and Steve Finn every time they walk out on the cricket pitch. |
